Welcome

Hello World! I am Jacob Haug. And no — I will NOT fix your computer. But, I will fix you! If the problem is between the keyboard and the computer, I’m your man! And, I won’t laugh. Believe me, I’ve been there! I know what it’s like to spend hours searching for that missing semi-colon. I know what it’s like to have your hard drive crash and take your only backup with it. And, I know what it’s like to have your website hacked; while all you can do is sit there with your heart pounding and watch it go down.

Although I do have a degree, I think I have learned more “on the fly” because of the web/programming catastrophes I have lived through. I have developed a very broad knowledge base, so there’s hundreds of things I may be talking about. On this blog I’ll write about things I have discovered and what’s going on in my life at the moment. I may be deep into PHP one moment, and then jump to a Linux problem the next. I handle my dedicated server, so I may talk some about server admin issues. There will be a lot about website and internet security, W3C standards, SEO, programing your website for faster load time, building applications and frameworks, and dozens of other geeky tech things that may be on my mind at any given moment.
